Helen joined Philanthropy Company in 2024 and brings a wealth of major gifts experience, with a particular focus on health, education and international development. Helen spent five years at the University of Oxford. As a senior fundraiser and Deputy Head of Development for the Medical Sciences Division, she developed strategic opportunities to attract major philanthropic income (>£6mn) and worked with some of Oxford’s most prestigious academics and high profile donors.

During the pandemic, Helen also raised substantial income for Oxford’s successful Covid-19 vaccine, which has gone on to save millions of lives globally.

With further experience at the Ashmolean Museum, WaterAid, Practical Action and Cecily’s Fund, Helen has a deep understanding of what it takes to build a successful philanthropy programme, and has a skill for understanding and implementing the practical steps needed to both grow income and delight donors.

Helen thoroughly enjoys working with clients to connect business priorities to income generation. By creating inspiring philanthropic asks, developing practical processes, employing efficient ways of working and advising on best practice, Helen’s strategic outlook helps clients to amplify their major gifts offering.
