Chris has over 15 years’ experience in managing charity legacy fundraising and administration. His personal mission is to help legacy giving to flourish.
Chris has worked for Macmillan Cancer Support and Save the Children and served the wider fundraising sector as a member of Remember a Charity’s Campaign Council, as Chair of Will Aid and as CEO at the Institute of Legacy Management. Chris is also the author of the Marketing Strategy chapter of the fourth edition of the Directory for Social Change’s Legacy and In Memory fundraising guide.
Chris established LegacyGivingExpert.co.uk in December 2018. Since then, he has been working on a freelance basis across the not-for-profit sector on organisational Health checks; strategy and operational planning; training delivery and providing interim cover.
Clients have included: The National Portrait Gallery; Officers’ Association; Oxford University; International Committee of the Red Cross; Royal College of Surgeons; The Royal Free; Mind; Hospice UK; Marie Curie; Action for Children; Pancreatic Cancer UK and Arthritis Action. Chris has also undertaken interim roles for Royal Marsden Cancer Charity; UNHCR (The Refugee Charity); Christian Aid; Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Leonard Cheshire.
