Growing Philanthropic Income for Five Talents UK: Prospect Research

20 April 2026
Five Talents UK Case Study Philanthropy Company

“All the team at Philanthropy Company were great to work with – a brilliant combination of professional, approachable and flexible. Nothing was too much trouble for them; we felt well supported and were grateful for their expertise and experience.”

Rachel Lindley, co-CEO

Challenge

Five Talents’ mission is to unlock sustainable transformation in the most fragile communities, affected by conflict, material poverty and deep inequality. They work in partnership with local church networks to offer training in literacy, numeracy, savings and business, empowering people to shape their own futures and become resilient, financially independent, and even leaders in their communities. In 2024/25, Five Talents’ partners were able to support their 300,000th entrepreneur. Five Talents UK came to Philanthropy Company to help identify and explore new audiences, developing their prospect pipeline with individuals showing propensity to support and advance Five Talents’ mission and values.

Response

We completed a review of Five Talents’ current donor pipeline in partnership with key internal stakeholders. We compiled a comprehensive long list of potential prospects who had an affinity with their aims, capacity to give and access routes, before providing a top 20 prospect report. Through our partnership, Five Talents will be able to grow their donor pool, and in turn, create long-lasting relationships with supporters who are passionate about the vital work they do.

Impact

The top 20 prospect report we developed has provided Five Talents with individuals who have been qualified based on agreed criteria. The prospects identified will open new doors, enabling Five Talents to go on to help even more vulnerable individuals and communities.
