Dr Selina Griffin

Selina Griffin Philanthropy Company

Selina supports Philanthropy Company clients with her expertise in fundraising operations, project delivery, and data-driven strategy. She brings particular strength in applying insight to improve participation, processes, and impact, drawing on experience across Higher Education in both development and operational leadership roles.

She began her career in fundraising at the University of Oxford, where she transformed the regular giving campaign through the use of data analysis — tripling participation rates and increasing ROI tenfold. Alongside this, she managed the annual CASE Insights Survey for the University, and introduced systems to strengthen operations including data quality, marketing segmentation, and telethon management.

Selina went on to run an international team at QS, responsible for global university rankings, establishing and operationalising the underpinning processes, and speaking at conferences and events worldwide. She now works in project and delivery management at the Open University, navigating institution-wide infrastructure projects and bringing knowledge of university policy, IT governance, and organisational change.

Selina is motivated by helping people and teams to navigate the complex worlds of IT and data. She is passionate about mental health, fitness and education being a Group Exercise instructor, Mental Health first aider and also a keen student herself.
