Caroline Underwood is recognised by HM The Queen
This month our CEO, Caroline Underwood, was awarded an OBE by Her Majesty The Queen for services to charity.
The Investiture Ceremony was held in the Waterloo Chamber at Windsor Castle on Friday 8 December, 2017. Speaking today Caroline said:
‘I feel hugely privileged to have received an OBE in recognition of my work over some 30 years with charities and philanthropists. I am especially lucky to work with so many people who have the vision and commitment to make real changes for the better in the world. It is wonderful for the fundraising profession to be recognised in this way too.’
Caroline’s work has helped many non-profit organisations raise millions of pounds both in the UK and overseas. These organisations have benefited from Caroline’s vision, commitment and pragmatic approach which stems from her personal mission to enable social good through increasing philanthropy in the UK and elsewhere.
She is at the forefront of the fundraising industry, daily championing the importance of philanthropy and the vital role it has to play in ensuring the continued growth and vibrancy of the charity sector. We are delighted that she has been honoured with this prestigious award.
