Peter McDowell supports Philanthropy Company clients by applying his deep expertise in US philanthropic funding to help organisations assess fundraising opportunities in the US. He has conducted in-depth benchmarking and research to evaluate the potential for American donor support ahead of major campaigns.

A seasoned fundraising executive, Peter has secured millions in donations for non-profits like American Friends of the Louvre, L.A. Dance Project, and GRAMMY-winning ensemble Eighth Blackbird. With 30+ years of experience in non-profit leadership and consulting, he has collaborated with OPERA America, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

Also a filmmaker, Peter directed and produced Jimmy in Saigon, which premiered at BFI Flare in 2022 and has won 16 awards at 40 international festivals. A sought-after speaker, he has presented at institutions such as the Manhattan School of Music and was a 2016-18 International Fellow at the DeVos Institute of Arts Management.
