Nick Moore

Nick helps Philanthropy Company’s clients to grow and maximise impact through developing effective strategic plans. He has a real interest in diversification of income, particularly the use of enterprise to produce social benefits, and on helping charities ensure governance and ethical issues are not a barrier to fundraising.
Nick has extensive experience in the charity and social enterprise sectors, including work funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, local authorities, and Sport England. Nick served as Head of Support Services for The Methodist Church in Britain for 10 years, managing a team of 70 and overseeing a £10m global grant-making process. He is also a non-executive director of Central Hall Westminster Ltd and has completed nine years as a trustee for Medic Assist International and the Methodist Central Finance Board. Before his charity career, Nick spent 15 years in sales and business planning roles for major global brands in the drinks packaging industry.
Holding an MA in Charity Management, Nick spent four years as an Associate Lecturer in Charity Governance and Social Entrepreneurship at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. He is also a regular contributor to Charity Finance magazine, promoting continuous improvement in the sector, and has shared his expertise on charity reserves at the 2019 Charity Finance Summit.
