Marco Greco

Marco is a fundraising professional with eight years of experience gained in both large international and small local voluntary sector organisations. Target-driven and methodical, he is passionate about assisting charities to maximise income and fulfil their missions.

Marco has extensive experience across a broad range of fundraising disciplines, but has a specialism in raising funds from charitable trusts and institutional donors. He has raised significant funds from Big Lottery Fund, European Commission, Comic Relief and private foundations, for programmes both in the UK and overseas. He is a skilled proposal writer with strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of grant management.

Most of his experience was gained during his time in the High Value Giving Department at the British Red Cross, during which he also completed a masters degree in Voluntary Sector Management at Cass Business School. Marco then moved to Coram’s Fields, a children’s charity, to act as the organisation’s first Fundraising Manager. In this role, he has been responsible for the development and implementation of the charity’s fundraising strategy, to increase and diversify voluntary income from: corporates, trusts and foundations, institutional funders, major donors, events and the community. In addition to focusing on new income, he has a long track record of securing repeat funding from existing supporters and is a natural relationship builder.

Marco has supported clients in the international development, human rights, youth and LGBT sectors. Both strategic and tactical, he has worked with charities to develop organisational fundraising strategies from start to finish, as well as to prepare successful cases for support and funding bids for complex projects.
