James brings 17 years experience in direct fundraising, communications and charity management. His long-standing commitment to charity and philanthropy stems from a desire to ensure charities have the support they need to deliver their best work. James joined Philanthropy Company in 2020 as Client Advisor with experience in direct fundraising, communications and charity management. He started his career working for The Forest Trust, a conservation and global supply chain development Non Profit in Switzerland, where he was successful in raising 6 figure multi-year funding and managed a variety of donor partnerships and communications projects.

James spent the next 7 years working with small to medium sized charitable organisations as a consultant and hands-on fundraiser providing interim support and management across corporate, trust, event and High Value Donor income streams as well as providing guidance and advice on communications and fundraising development Before joining Philanthropy Company James was Chief Executive for a neuro-rehabilitation charity, the Rainbow Centre.

James’ experience includes working with charitable organisations providing interim support and management across corporate, trust, event and High Value Donor income streams as well as providing guidance and advice on communications and fundraising development.

At Philanthropy Company he has worked with donors and partners including capital campaigns for Prevent Breast Cancer and The Africa Centre, fulfilling diverse project briefs for Church of England, the Myrovlytis Trust, The Duke of Edinburgh Award and Alde and Ore Estuary Trust. James brings a breadth of knowledge as an all-round fundraiser and advisor.
