Alison is an independent consultant dedicated to helping organisations connect, communicate and engage more effectively with their key audiences and important communities.
She is the founder of Oxford Alchemy Ltd, a consultancy that offers strategic advice and interim support in communications, public engagement and project management, mostly in the higher education sector. Prior to founding her company, Alison worked for over ten years as head of communications in various University of Oxford departments. She has experience in developing and managing complex communications change projects, organising high-level events and international conferences, and leading press and PR campaigns that garner international press coverage.
Alison has a particular passion for the theatre, and when she’s not advising clients or writing news articles, she can often be found in a rehearsal room or on the stage for one of her local amateur dramatics productions. Alison has a Masters degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa (America’s most prestigious honour society).
