A different voice for mental health
We had the great honour this week to be invited by our client, Deafinitely Theatre, to watch their latest production, 4.48 Psychosis, directed by Deafinitely Theatre’s Founder and Artistic Director Paula Garfield.
The play opens with an intense energy which is sustained until its poignant conclusion, leaving the audience feeling a profound sense of connection with the actors who brilliantly reconstruct the late Sarah Kane’s final play, known for its lyrical form of expression.
The cast translated Kane’s expressive play about declining mental health, and particularly themes of depression and suicide, with searing clarity through the expression of body language, sign, subtitles, and spoken word. There was no doubt that every member of the audience, both deaf and hearing, were completely captivated by the emotion of the performance.
We are extremely proud to be associated with this visionary artistic organisation. Showings of 4.48 Psychosis are available at the Diorama Theatre until 13th October and with some performances sold out, we urge you to book tickets immediately!
