The Brief

Philanthropy Company were appointed in August 2017 to guide the growth of fundraising at the Theatres Trust, with the aim of supporting its ambition to expand core operations and grow its grant giving to theatres in need.

Our Response

We completed a fundraising scoping exercise, including analysis of current potential, identification of new funding opportunities and drafting a compelling case for support. Our work culminated in the development of a comprehensive active fundraising strategy to take the organisation forward over the coming years.

Impact

Since the completion of our work in early 2018, the Theatres Trust have followed our guidance and delivered against the active fundraising strategy. They successfully reached the year one fundraising target we developed with them and are now on a path of continued growth for the future.
