Foundation for FutureLondon
Foundation for FutureLondon is a new charity created to support Olympicopolis, the new cultural and education quarter on the Olympic Park, supported by the London Legacy Development Corporation and the GLA. We are working with Sadler’s Wells, Victoria and Albert Museum, University College London and the Smithsonian Institute to realise this important project for London.
We were asked to undertake a detailed feasibility study interviewing major philanthropists and arts funders to seek their input to planning a significant philanthropic campaign. As a result of the work undertaken by Caroline Underwood and John Nickson, (formerly Tate, Royal Academy of Arts and English National Opera) the charity was formed and the Chancellor committed £141m to the project.
We continue to be closely involved with Foundation for FutureLondon. Caroline was responsible for leading the team during this start up period and supporting a high profile board of Trustees led by Chairman, Sir William Castell. She liaised with the GLA and the Mayor of London to engage philanthropists in the project. Other Philanthropy Company staff also worked on the project.
