Claire House-Norman is a strategic fundraising and PR specialist, bringing over thirty years of experience in the charity sector. She works with Philanthropy Company clients to develop effective fundraising strategies, with a specialisation in major gifts and masterplans for new large-scale projects. Claire’s recent portfolio has included Respect, the Southern Hospices Group, Prevent Breast Cancer and an international grant giving charity.

Claire has a track record in establishing successful fundraising departments and launching ambitious projects across organisations of all sizes. Her career highlights include founding Salisbury Cathedral’s first-ever fundraising department, raising millions for unique initiatives like maritime archaeology as Director of Fundraising & Alumni Relations at Bournemouth University, and overseeing fundraising, communications, and marketing for a small equine welfare charity with an award-winning visitor centre. At Bournemouth, Claire also developed and led the UK’s first Fundraising Academy, training the next generation of fundraisers.

In her spare time, Claire serves as a trustee for a grant-making trust, and competes in amateur sport.
